University lecturer awarded £100,000 after being fired for her ‘loud voice’ in UK

A 59-year-old university lecturer in the UK has been awarded £100,000 (₹1 crore) in damages after she claimed she was fired from her job for being “too loud”. Dr Annette Plaut had been a member of the physics department at the University of Exeter for over 29 years before she was dismissed for her ‘loud’ voice.
