Jaipur: Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra on Saturday called for providing a comfortable, friendly and non-discriminatory environment in the society to the differently-abled.
He said that apart from empowering the differently-abled emotionally and physically, they should be given better opportunities for employment, education and training.
Mishra was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of ‘Sanjeevani Therapy Centre’ for special children in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He also stressed on making efforts at all levels for all-round development of the differently abled and for their uninterrupted participation in the society. He said that if given the opportunity, differently-abled can do better than the common person.
