The brand shared a sneak peek of the jerseys on social media, showcasing the iconic three-stripes design that Adidas is renowned for. In a captivating display, Adidas managed to captivate the internet by showcasing three enormous jerseys floating above the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Indian men’s cricket team will have the honor of being the first to don the new kit when they face off against Australia in the highly anticipated World Test Championship final starting from June 7 at the Oval in London.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had previously announced Adidas as the official kit sponsor for the BCCI. The partnership entails exclusive rights for Adidas to manufacture kit for all formats of the game. This includes providing match, training, and travel wear for the men’s, women’s, and youth teams associated with the BCCI. The partnership is set to run through to March 2028, as stated in a recent BCCI statement.
