India’s Daily COVID Cases Drop Further with 4,282 Infections in 24 Hours

India continues to see a decline in the number of daily COVID cases, as the country recorded 4,282 new infections in the past 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This marks a dip of 1,592 cases from the previous day, with the daily positivity rate dropping to 4.92 per cent.
The daily positivity rate drops to 4.92 per cent, with 6,037 patients recovering from the disease in the last 24 hours.
Over the past few days, the country has seen a significant decline in COVID cases, with 5,874 cases reported on Sunday and 7,171 cases recorded on Saturday. The total count of recoveries has also increased to 4,43,70,878, with 6,037 patients recovering from the disease in the past 24 hours. The recovery rate of the country stands at an impressive 98.71 per cent.
The Health Ministry reports that a total of 92.67 crore COVID tests have been conducted in the country so far, with 87,038 tests undertaken in the last 24 hours. Additionally, 172 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours. Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far, including 95.21 crore Second Doses and 22.87 crore Precaution Doses, as per the Union Ministry of Health and Welfare.
