Outrage as Woman Nonchalantly Uses Hair Straightener Inside Delhi Metro

In a recent incident that has sparked outrage among commuters, a video has emerged showing a woman using a hair straightener inside the Delhi Metro. The footage, which quickly spread on Twitter, captured the girl nonchalantly straightening her hair while standing among fellow passengers.

The unidentified woman boldly plugged her hair straightener into the metro’s power outlets, typically designated for charging phones and laptops. Despite the crowded train and the presence of other commuters, she appeared oblivious to their discomfort.

Social media was flooded with criticism and concerns from a significant number of Twitter users who pointed out the lack of consideration displayed by the woman towards her fellow passengers. This incident is not an isolated case, as similar incidents of inappropriate behavior have become increasingly frequent on the Delhi Metro.

Just a few days ago, another video went viral, featuring a woman dancing to a Bollywood song inside a crowded Delhi Metro coach. The video captured the woman’s energetic dance moves while she wore a black see-through top and blue jeans. Her enthusiastic performance to the song ‘Asalaam-e-Ishqum’ by Neha Bhasin and Bappi Lahiri created a buzz on social media.

In response to these recurring incidents, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) issued a statement highlighting their strict policy against any behavior that causes inconvenience to passengers. The DMRC emphasized that engaging in indecent or obscene actions that may cause discomfort or offend fellow passengers is strictly prohibited. The Operations and Maintenance Act enforced by the DMRC includes indecency as a punishable offense under Section 59.

The DMRC’s statement serves as a reminder to all commuters to adhere to basic etiquette and respect the comfort and sensibilities of their fellow passengers. It urges individuals to refrain from engaging in activities that may disrupt the peace and harmony within the metro system. The DMRC’s commitment to maintaining a safe and pleasant commuting environment is evident through their strict policies and their determination to enforce them.

As incidents like these continue to garner attention on social media, it becomes imperative for passengers to be mindful of their actions and considerate of those around them. A harmonious and respectful atmosphere inside the Delhi Metro is crucial for the comfort and well-being of all commuters.
