Noida Woman Falls for WhatsApp Part-Time Job Offer Scam, Loses Rs 4.3 Lakh by Liking YouTube Videos

Recently, a woman residing in Noida fell victim to one such scam and lost Rs 4.3 lakh in a distressing turn of events. The scam involved a false part-time job offer, where the victim was enticed to earn money by simply liking YouTube videos. The WhatsApp Part-Time Job Offer Scam

In yet another case of fraudulent activity, a woman residing in Noida’s Sector 61 became the target of scammers operating through WhatsApp. The fraudsters approached her with a seemingly lucrative part-time job offer, promising that all she had to do was like, comment, and share YouTube videos from various e-commerce websites. To establish trust, the scammers connected her to a Telegram group where she was assigned specific tasks.

Initially, the scammers rewarded the woman with payments for each completed task, ensuring she remained engaged and invested in the supposed opportunity. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when the scammers presented her with a “prime task,” leading to a significant loss of Rs 4.38 lakh.

The Aftermath and Legal Action

Following the distressing incident, a case against the cyber fraudsters was registered at Sector 58 Noida police station. Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the matter in an effort to bring the culprits to justice.
