IT Professional from Kochi Sets Guinness World Record and Asian Records in Skydiving Feat

Jithin Vijayan, a 41-year-old IT professional hailing from Kochi, has soared to new heights in the world of skydiving, setting multiple records with his latest daring jump in Whiteville, Tennessee, USA. On July 1, Jithin achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest outdoor freefall, an astonishing 2 minutes and 47 seconds. But that was not all; his remarkable feat also earned him two Asian records – for the highest exit altitude, a staggering 42,431 feet, and the longest fall without a drogue, a jaw-dropping 36,929 feet.

Speaking about his extraordinary achievement, Jithin Vijayan revealed that his passion for flying dates back to his childhood. His quest for high-altitude adventures began when he trekked to the Everest base camp in 2022 with a dream of reaching the summit and unfurling the Indian flag at 29,000 feet. However, due to the inherent risks involved, his family discouraged him from pursuing that path. Instead, the fearless thrill-seeker turned to skydiving, a sport that allowed him to carry the flag to incredible heights.

Over the past year, Jithin’s skydiving career has been nothing short of exceptional, with nearly 200 jumps under his belt. Combining his passion for flying with his IT profession, he currently holds the position of director at N-Dimensions Solutions Private Limited, an IT company based in Ernakulam.
