Brave Mira Road Jeweller Thwarts Armed Robbery, Video of Heroic Act Goes Viral
In a display of immense bravery, a jeweller from Mira Road in Mumbai successfully fought off armed robbers, protecting his shop and thwarting a potential robbery. A video capturing the incredible act of courage has since gone viral, garnering widespread acclaim for the jeweller’s heroic actions.
The incident occurred on Saturday when two men, wearing backpacks, entered Kothari Jewellers located in the RNA Broadway Society at around 4:30 pm. Mohit Kothari, the 35-year-old owner, was alone in the shop, busy with his preparations.
Initially posing as potential customers interested in purchasing a ring, the two men engaged Kothari in conversation, asking him to showcase the collection. However, within moments, their true intentions became evident as they attempted to carry out a robbery.
Sensing the danger, Kothari quickly grasped an iron rod that was conveniently nearby and fearlessly confronted the robbers. Despite one of the assailants brandishing a pistol from his bag, Kothari did not falter and vigorously defended his shop.
In a desperate attempt to salvage their plan, the robbers realized they were at risk of being caught and swiftly fled the scene. Kothari promptly alerted the nearby passersby, who gathered outside the shop. He also immediately contacted the local police station to report the incident.
“The entire episode was captured on the shop’s CCTV, which we are utilizing to identify the robbers,” stated a police officer from Mira Road police station.

Law enforcement authorities have registered a case against the two culprits and are actively working to apprehend them.
