Maharashtra Teen Fakes Kidnapping, Flees with Boyfriend to Kolkata; Police on the Hunt
In a surprising turn of events, a 17-year-old girl from Maharashtra’s Palghar district allegedly orchestrated her own kidnapping before eloping with her boyfriend to Kolkata, according to authorities. The girl, employed in the housekeeping section of a company, left her residence in Virar but did not show up as expected. Concerned for her safety, her family initiated a search for her whereabouts. In the midst of the search, the girl sent a voice message to her brother via WhatsApp, claiming that she had been kidnapped.
