JCTSL owes more than Rs 150 crore to the state, the administration wrote a letter to LSG

Jaipur City Transport Service Limited (JCTSL) has not been paid the full reimbursement amount by the state government despite traveling on concessional tickets for the last 9 years. Due to this, at present JCTSL has outstanding dues of more than Rs 150 crore to the state government. In the RTIDF meeting, a demand has been made to release the increased Rs 23.50 crore. The JCTSL administration has written a letter to LSG regarding this.
Presently, concessional travel is being conducted by JCTSL in about 36 categories. Under this, free travel is being made to citizens above 80 years, mentally retarded patients and associates, blind and associates, special qualified persons and award-winning teachers, among others. Along with this, 50 percent for students, 30 percent for women, 30 percent for senior citizens (more than 60 and less than 80) with minimum fare (Rs 10) is being made.
More than Rs 150 crore outstanding JCTSL has given the benefit of concessional travel to lakhs of people since the year 2013. Out of which Rs 150.54 crore is pending with the state government. Apart from this, in the meeting of RTIDF, it was also decided to increase the amount of Rs 30 crore to JCTSL to Rs 43.50 crore, but the increased amount was not paid. After getting this amount, the JCTSL administration will be able to pay the company operating the buses, the outstanding lease, the arrears in various items of the employees.
