Proper arrangement of treatment for kids in wake of Covid’s 3rd wave should be taken, said CS Niranjan Arya

Jaipur : Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya said that in view of the possibility of a third wave of Covid, necessary steps should be taken for proper arrangement of treatment of children including enhancing the capacity of oxygen production and availability of necessary medical equipment in days to come.
Arya was reviewing the status of Covid-19 and Black fungus, need and availability of oxygen in the state along with other arrangements for Covid management through Video Conferencing with officials at the Government Secretariat on Monday.
Giving information about the delivery of oxygen concentrators being sourced from abroad, Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Mines and Petroleum said that about 10,000 concentrators have been received.
The Government Secretary of Medical Education Department, Vaibhav Galriya informed about the status of Covid patients admitted at the Sawai Man Singh Hospital, RUHS, Jaipuria Hospital and Bilwa Covid Centre along with the availability of beds and ventilators.
CS Niranjan Arya said that despite the second wave of Covid-19 and emergency situations arising out of the pandemic, 226 announcements made in the budget have been implemented within a short span of one and a half months.
He said that after presenting the budget for the year 2021-22, the Chief Minister had instructed to complete the budget announcements as soon as possible so that the public can get immediate benefits.
