Indian-Origin Executive Vaibhav Taneja Takes the Helm as CFO of Tesla

In a significant achievement for India, Vaibhav Taneja, an Indian-origin executive, has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the renowned electric car manufacturer Tesla. Vaibhav Taneja, the newly appointed CFO, has been associated with Tesla since 2016, bringing his extensive financial expertise to the company. He initially served in various finance and accounting roles at SolarCity Corporation, a US-based solar panel developer that Tesla acquired in 2016. Taneja then assumed roles of increasing responsibility within Tesla, serving as the Assistant Corporate Controller and later taking on the position of Corporate Controller. In March 2019, he became the Chief Accounting Officer, a role he continued to excel in.

Before his tenure with Tesla, Taneja accumulated valuable experience working with PricewaterhouseCoopers, both in India and the US. His dedication and commitment have undoubtedly played a significant role in his rise within Tesla’s ranks.
